Chiswick House Gardens Restoration Project

Chiswick House Gardens are the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement and are amongst the most influential gardens in the world. Following decades of wear and tear and limited funding, a major regeneration project is now underway to restore and revive them.

Over 90% of the money needed has been secured, primarily from the Heritage Lottery Fund which generously awarded £7.9 million. Just under £3 million has been raised from generous foundations and visionary individuals who support our aspirations to restore this historic and precious garden. This leaves just over £1million to be raised. The final push is being led by the Trust and The House Festival is a significant part of that effort.

Preliminary work has already begun on site - the culmination of years of planning and research. As well as restoring the historic garden buildings and conservatory, we will also renew miles of paths, plant over 1600 new trees and build a new café.
